About Chris Roten

Chris Roten is  Senior Counsel at Marshall Presley & Pipal PLLC. His primary practice areas include business and commercial litigation, construction law, and real estate law.

Mr. Roten grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended Southwest High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Oklahoma, where he attained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a law degree. Upon completion of law school, he entered the United States Army as a First Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps.

As a Judge Advocate, he focused his military practice on criminal prosecution, administrative law, and operational law. During his twelve years on active duty, he worked with many legendary units and deployed multiple times. He also received a Masters of Law degree from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School.

In 2018, he left active duty but remained in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he is currently a Lieutenant Colonel. He now focuses his legal practice on the construction and real property practice of law. Previously, he has been in-house litigation counsel for the largest title company and the largest commercial real estate firm in the United States.
