About David Pipal

David Pipal is a founding member of Marshall, Presley & Pipal, PLLC whose practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, construction law, product liability, and insurance law.

Mr. Pipal handles a variety of business and commercial disputes. He has litigated complicated and emotional business “break-ups” and pursued the assets of individual owners under alter-ego theories and through the bankruptcy process. Mr. Pipal also serves as outside general counsel to several companies, providing general legal advice and representing clients before governmental entities.

On the construction side, Mr. Pipal represents developers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design professionals in construction defect, general liability, and insurance matters.  Mr. Pipal is well-versed in the area of insurance coverage and advises clients on insurance policy exclusions/endorsements and other risk-management strategies.

Mr. Pipal received his law degree from Santa Clara University, where he was editor of the Santa Clara Law Review. He received his B.A. (English) from Boston College. Mr. Pipal is admitted to practice law in Texas and California.
